Reading is one of the premier hockey clubs in the country. They were formed in 1904 and joined with the Cricket section in 1959.
RHC enjoys a high profile throughout the national and local media. With Men’s in the National Premier League and Ladies 1st XI team in the Conference West National League
They run 11 men’s teams, 7 ladies teams and has a flourishing Next Generation junior section. The youngest playing Member is 5, and the oldest is in their 70’s!
The club has international players ranging from U16’s to the full internationals, plus a number of Vets and Masters all playing for their Countries.
RHC has over 400 senior and nearly 550 junior members and is based at a top class facility in Sonning Lane, Reading, where they have been since 1984. This site is just beyond Thames Valley Park.
There are two pitches at the club and a great clubhouse and grounds.
